Decades Lookbook: The 1970's

Next up in my 20th Century Decades series is the 1970's. 

Polyester jumpsuits, fringe jackets, flared pants, maxi dresses and retro T-shirts are just a few of the decade's memorable clothing for women. Men’s clothing was similar with loon pants, pattern shirts, platform shoes, and big belts.

Disco took over the 70's. In hot nightclubs in New York City or Paris, dressing for a disco was a chance to wear your personality, much like a costume. With flashing lights, spinning disco ball and loud music, a chance for conversation were minimal so the disco costume had to say it all.
