Bridgerton: Season Two Lookbook


Season 2 of Netflix's Bridgerton continues to take place in the competitive world of Regency era London's ton during the season, when debutantes are presented at court. While Season 1 focused on Daphne Bridgerton, Season 2 focuses on the eldest Bridgerton, Anthony, and his quest to find the new Vicountess.  At the same time, Lady Danbury is sponsoring the Sharma family, Mary, Kate and Edwina, from India for the season. Anthony and Edwina begin courting, but neither Kate nor Anthony can deny their feelings for each other. 

This is my second Bridgerton lookbook and while I tried to do different characters this time, I couldn't help but do Anthony (obviously), Eloise and Lady Danbury again. I'm a bit intimidated by the Featherington's outfits...perhaps I'll make them for Season 3 😜

Encanto Lookbook


Encanto Lookbook


We interrupt this hiatus for the women of Encanto lookbook! I try to keep up on the latest Disney movies, but I did not expect to love this movie as much as I do. The music quickly ended up on my "On Repeat" playlist, so the next logical step for me was to recreate the cast in the Sims 😊 I did some recolors to try to make the outfits as accurate as possible. Long time no see y'all! I've taken a pretty long break from the Sims 4 but I finally got back into the game when I was inspired to create a pop music icon: Britney Spears.  

Like a lot of us, I was horrified to get a glimpse into the hell she's been living in the past 14 years under her conservatorship.  But I'm very happy that we're finally getting to a place in society where we're talking about mental heath and she is able to get her day(s) in court.  I hope she gets her freedom from her father and some form of justice soon.  For this lookbook, I only created outfits she wore before the conservatorship, where she presumably had some control of her career/finances/life. 

Forgive my crappy editing...I struggled trying to get my two in-game screenshots to kind of match my CAS screenshots.

1940's Lookbook Part 2

1940's Lookbook Part 2

A combination of re-watching the Marvel movies, the launch of TSR's Retro ReBOOT, and watching Agent Carter for the first time finally gave me the inspiration to complete the last of my Decades Part Two series: the 1940's Part 2. 

The 1940's were defined by a clean and slim silhouette with a somewhat military feel. Jackets, blouses, sweaters, and skirts were short and close-fitting, all unadorned and with the requisite sharp shoulder pads. Long sleeves were out, dresses were casual, and pants and 'playsuits' became everyday attire.

Two of my sims were inspired by people you may recognize: fictional Peggy Carter and actress/inventor Hedy Lamarr.
