Free Palestine: Lookbook & Donation Links

I've been losing my mind watching western media and governments ignore, spread propaganda and worst of all: sponsor the genocide of Palestinians the last eight months...I can't even fathom what it must be like to live in Gaza or the West Bank. I am ashamed to admit I was ignorant to a lot of the world's atrocities until October 2023. Since then, I've learned so much about Palestine and the apartheid settler-colony that is "Israel". The myth that Israel is essential to Jewish safety is so embedded in western culture that for 76 years the world has continued to turn a blind eye to (or finance) so many horrors inflicted by Israeli settlers on the Palestinian people. I've lost track of the amount of burnt and/or dismembered bodies I've seen from bombs my taxes pay for. I cannot understand how people are not radicalized by all this barbarity.

I've been talking and contributing to people in Gaza's GoFundMe campaigns when I can and I want to include some donation links here, please contribute if you are able. Even a little goes a long way towards food and hopefully, eventually, safe passage to Egypt.

This lookbook is inspired by Palestinian people. I tried to include both traditional attire with the closest thing I could find to Palestinian thobes with tatreez embroidery, along with turbans and hijabs, as well as those who dress more modern/not hijabi. I also tried to include as many keffiyehs as I could, and obviously, some watermelons. 🍉 I would have rather used a more pleasant background, but thought an image of the destruction of Khan Yunis would be more impactful. 💔

Anyway, free Palestine until it's backwards and viva la resistance!

Bridgerton: Season 3 Lookbook

Season 3 of Netflix's Bridgerton continues to take place in the competitive world of Regency era London's ton during the season when debutantes are presented at court. Season 1 focused on Daphne Bridgerton, Season 2 focused on Anthony Bridgerton, and this season, Francesca Bridgerton debuts on the ton. However, the season really focuses on friends-to-lovers Colin Bridgerton and Penelope Featherington.

Empyrean Series: Fourth Wing/Iron Flame

Hi all who are still here! My last post was in 2022, so I'm very impressed that you're still around :) I pretty much only make lookbooks now if I'm very inspired and the time has finally come.

I read the first two available books (Fourth Wing and Iron Flame) in the Empyrean series by Rebecca Yarros so quickly and am still so obsessed. If you are a fan of fantasy, violence and steamy content, I wholeheartedly recommend this series. I used a lot of harnesses/buckles in place of knife sheaths and video game outfit conversions for this lookbook and I look forward to dedicated cc once the Amazon Prime show drops :)

Stranger Things 4

Like many of you, I've been a fan of Stranger Things since its debut in 2016 and I have enjoyed what we've seen of the season so far. I'm loving that Running Up That Hill is charting and I am very scared that Eddie will die in Part 2 😩 I based the casts' outfits on what they wore this season, but I did sprinkle in some previous seasons inspired cc in my 1980's lookbooks if you're looking to create even more outfits/characters (80s Part 1, 80s Part 2)
